Project Manager, ServiceNow, ITIL, ITSM, Migration, Reading, Berkshire.

Our client has a contract opportunity available for an experienced Technical Project Manager with experience of ITSM ServiceNow platform.

Ideally, you would have experience migrating to or from ServiceNow from another ITSM platform and would understand the complexity of such a project being able to drive delivery through ITIL best Practices.

You will be required to influence, design and manage the migration to an existing ITSM ticket system.

Responsibilities

Lead all technical aspects of project delivery and solution delivery including:

  • Create and deliver project work plans and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
  • Working with stake holders to design and document service management workflows to deliver IT services.
  • Ensures project documents are created, current, complete and appropriately stored.
  • Identify resources and assign responsibilities.
  • Manage day-to-day operational aspects of the project.
  • Works closely with relevant stake holders to ensure effective and efficient implementation of the project.
  • Works with developers and designers to define and document questions, liaise with business via email, IM or phone to get new requirements and explain feasibility.
  • Submits project status reports to stakeholders; reviews bugs; plans software releases; anticipates and reacts to change.

Experience/Qualifications:

  • Prince 2, APM or similar project management qualification.
  • ITIL
  • Drawing on existing experience you will be able to quickly develop a good understanding of the business problem being solved and the technology solution being developed.
  • You will be able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Able to work relatively autonomously to shape and undertake assignments or work streams
  • Through previous technical experience as a lead developer or in other project lead role you must be capable of effectively managing technical teams providing clear leadership and direction to mixed work streams
  • Have an excellent understanding of the impact of change on delivery plans, are able to manage change control tightly
  • Be able to manage and control project risks and issues, escalating risks/issues with suggested solutions as appropriate and controlling resources and project timeline

Desirable:

  • Experience of IT Service Management projects
  • Experience of working with the Service Now solution
