Head of Supplier Management – Banking – London
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced supplier management professional to join the Business Management team within the Service Delivery function of the Banks Group IT. Candidates will have extensive experience managing the supply chain for IT services and systems within the financial services.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience in managing the supply chain for IT services and systems and will be able to lead a team of 30 supplier managers, contract specialists and analysts responsible for £500m of budget.

Strong experience of third-party contractual work is a must combined with the ability to lead and deliver initiatives to improve the quality and value of the components of our cost base. You must have demonstrable stakeholder management ability up to CIO level with the gravitas to interact and influence at Head of Function level to deliver effective supplier strategies across Service Delivery.
Key Accountabilities
o Contribute to strategy and policy with maintenance of roadmaps for the platform leading other Internal / External service providers
o Liaison/negotiation with stakeholders to understand and overcome the key issues driving service and cost impact.
o Delivery of portfolio, business projects and service improvements on time and within budget whilst maintaining quality
o Delivery of new solutions to support business requirements and improving operational effectiveness.
o Maintain and enhance a strong risk & control framework.
o Drive clear improvements to service.
o Provide direction & leadership
Key Competencies
o Expert knowledge of Senior Managerial / Technical disciplines, standards and processes.
o Experience of developing and maintaining a robust demand/ supply model.
o Significant experience in leading large and complex cross divisional programmes and major change initiatives
o Excellent relationship, influencing skills and experience of managing multiple and diverse stakeholder groups
o Strategic planning skills over a multi year planning cycle
o Exceptional stakeholder management skills and vendor management.
o Must have emotional resilience and a strong, positive impact at all levels to be able to influence, including making and winning the case for change
Specific Skill and Knowledge
